MILOS ISLAND
apart from being immersed in the same waters as where our story began - we think milos is one of the most beautiful places in the world, and we hope you do too

ACCOMMODATIONS
Our hub of choice is the town of Plaka, which sits high on a hill in the centre of the island. It has ample accommodations available, from boutique hotels to ocean-view Airbnbs. We chose Plaka as our base for it’s vibrant character, carless charm, and outrageous sunset views.
It would be our dream to fill the village with all of you: to foster surprise run-ins, seamlessly coordinate transport to events, and to simply be as close as possible.
Spring 2027 dates are slowly opening, and we encourage you to book accommodations of your choice at your personal preference.

Klima - a row of homes on the water below Plaka, about a 10 minute drive down from Plaka
Mandrakia - yet another series of homes right on the water, about a 10 minute drive over the island from Plaka
Adamantas - the port city of Milos with the most “hustle & bustle” feel of anywhere on the island, about a 10 minute drive on a busy road from Plaka
POINTS OF ENTRY
Airport - best to look directly at Aegean Air or Sky Express’s websites for booking flights; all flights during May will fly from Athens International (about ~50 minutes of flight time). It is best to book this leg separate from your international leg, as the operators are independent.
Ferry - best to look directly at FerryHopper or FerryScanner for booking ferries; the Greek ferry system is very comprehensive and impressively on-time! Just know that the ferry from Athens is about an hour from the airport and then takes ~4.5 hours to get to Milos. You might be better served flying first to a closer island (Santorini, Mykonos, Paros, etc.) and then taking a ferry from there. Also a quick word to the wise - the boarding / de-boarding process can feel a little chaotic if you’ve never done it before!
ISLAND TRANSPORTATION
ATV - highly recommend! The Greek roads are perfect for an ATV and you should expect to pay ~30-50EUR/day for a mid-size ATV on the island in May (also was a crucial part of our love story - so represent!)
Cab - cabs are available most everywhere on the island, but there is of course the risk of not finding one when you need it most!
Rental Car - there are multiple car rental agencies on the island, both at the ferry port & airport; just be aware that Plaka parking lots might require payment for daytime stays
For Events - we will any transport between events when needed; otherwise, we ask that you coordinate your own transportation to the weekend’s events in Plaka (if not staying in town)
